Membership Renewal!

We at the Arts & Business Council (ABC/NY) connect with the business community: corporate giving officers, potential board members, pro bono consultants, workshop presenters, panelists, mentors, in order to PUT BUSINESS SKILLS AND RESOURCES INTO THE HANDS OF ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS.

We do it with your engagement, with your input, and, yes, with a little bit of your cash.  It’s That Time of Year to ask for your ABC/NY membership renewal for 2011.  Your $100 annual rate (for organizations with budgets of under $1 million; $1 million to $10 million = $250; over $10 million = $500) hasn’t changed since 2005, but we are changing it as of 01/01/11 to $125 (and $300, and $600).  Cut the check now, pull out the credit card now, and pay the old rate.

What’s in it for you?  Contact Stephanie Dockery at sdockery@artsandbusiness-ny.org or 212.279.5910, x 1124 to learn more. Or join/renew online.

Playing now through August 1, The Public Theater is pleased to present The Merchant of Venice and The Winter’s Tale in repertory at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. "The Merchant of Venice and The Winter's Tale are spectacularly delightful evenings. Both productions are accessible and comprehensible, florid and moving, and…sparely but gorgeously staged,” wrote Jesse Oxfeld in The New York Observer. Shakespeare in the Park is one of New York City's most beloved summer traditions. New York natives and visitors alike have been enjoying free Shakespeare in Central Park since performances began in 1954. Now 56 years after Joseph Papp first conceived the project, The Public Theater is proud to present Shakespeare in the Park 2010. Free tickets are distributed to the public each performance day at The Delacorte Theater and online through The Public’s Virtual Ticketing. Visit www.shakespeareinthepark.org for more information.
