Arts Organization Information

Program Dates:  Monday, June 4–Friday, August 10, 2012

Arts Host Application Deadline:  Friday, February 3, 2012

The caliber of intern assigned to my organization was way beyond my expectations. This internship program is so much more well-rounded than anything else out there because of ABC/NY's facilitation, the business mentor, and the variety of host organizations.

Overview
Each arts organization hosts its intern for 10 weeks. Interns work  full time Monday through Friday, including weekly site visits. In addition, interns and host arts supervisors attend a program orientation breakfast (June 4, 2012) and a closing ceremony dinner.

Stipend
Each intern receives a $2,500 stipend. ABC/NY and host arts organizations both contribute to this payment.

Preference
As this program seeks to promote diversity in the field of arts management, preference is given to African-American, Asian-American, Latina/o, and Native-American students.

How to Apply
All NYC nonprofit arts organization are eligible to apply to host an intern.
