metlife foundation national arts forum series

Each year, the Arts & Business Council of New York presents forums that convene members of the arts and business sectors to discuss and explore timely issues facing both communities. Forums take place in cities nationwide and are designed to explore pressing issues currently facing arts organizations. While each year's series addresses a consistent theme, the topics of individual cities' forums will vary.

For the 2006-2007 series, forums will take place in 20 cities and will investigate themes related to the arts and workforce development, a topic that allows for an exploration of the central role the arts can play in creating a workforce capable of achieving corporate and citizenship objectives. A culminating forum will take place in June at the Americans for the Arts 2007 Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
