This workshop is designed to help nonprofit arts organizations learn how to think and act differently, and to understand, plan, obtain, and manage successful business sponsorship partnerships. The workshop will: help arts organizations understand what sponsorship is and how it relates to and differs from traditional philanthropy; give an overview of how sponsorship works; help an arts organization assess whether it should consider sponsorship; and, provide information and tools to guide an arts organization through the sponsorship process. Corporate sponsorship is an area where marketing and development overlap.

This full day workshop includes sponsorship case studies and a panel of “in the trenches” experts from both sides of the sponsorship partnership. The workshop is appropriate for marketing and development directors, executive staff and board members.

Please note: There will be a lunch break from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own, or visit the American Express cafeteria, or the Food Court on the lower level of the World Financial Center.
