Nancy Salz is president of Nancy L. Salz Consulting, a New York City based firm specializing in marketing communications management. Its mission is to improve the productivity of the marketer-agency relationship—and to achieve it, the firm works mainly with marketers in a consulting capacity and in the presentation of training seminar programs in brand marketing communications and agency relations. The firm was founded in October l983.
Its clients number more than half of the top 50 advertisers and include such companies as Toyota, Schwab, Bristol-Myers Squibb, The Weather Channel, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Salz Consulting has also presented programs in Asia, Europe, and South America for American Express, AT&T, Bayer Consumer Care, and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare (now J&J).
Prior to establishing her consulting company, Nancy Salz spent more than 15 years in advertising, primarily with Ogilvy & Mather, where she was one of the few people to attain supervisory positions in both creative and account management.
Ms. Salz is also the author of How to Get the Best Creative Work from Your Agency: Advertising, Interactive, and Other Marketing Communications (Fifth Edition, McGraw-Hill, 2005).
She has also lectured on advertising and advertising management at The Wharton Graduate School, Yale University, New York University, and the American Management Association. She was a member of the seminar faculty of the Association of National Advertisers for more than 10 years.
