Vice President, Philanthropic Initiatives, Time Warner, Inc., New York, New York

As vice president of philanthropic initiatives for Time Warner Inc., Daniel J. Osheyack is responsible for oversight of the company’s grantmaking in education and the arts, and the strategic positioning and communication of Time Warner’s philanthropic efforts to a variety of the company’s constituents.

Dan came to this Time Warner position in December of 2004 and since that time, through solid partnerships and a mission-driven focus has elevated Time Warner’s position in the philanthropic landscape of New York City. As a result of Dan’s efforts, Time Warner was named to the Business Committee for the Arts (BCA) 2006 list of top ten companies supporting the arts in America, and the following year the company was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame. In November of 2007, Mayor Bloomberg presented Time Warner with the Mayor’s Award for Arts and Culture for its leadership in support of the Arts in New York City.

Prior to his move to Time Warner Corporate, Dan was associate publisher/marketing for Time Inc.’s People, responsible for the strategic marketing, brand promotion, event programming, and advertising sales development of the world's most popular magazine.

A graduate of SUNY at Cortland with a B.A. in speech-communications, Osheyack received an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri. He lives in Manhattan with his partner of 13 years, photographer and filmmaker Joseph Moran.
