Dana Weissman
Director of Audience Development and Community Outreach,
92nd Street Y,
New York, New York
Currently, Dana is the director of audience development and community outreach for the 92nd Street Y, where in addition to marketing programs to individuals and groups, she creates and implements partnerships with corporate clients, the media, and synergistic organizations. Examples of these relationships include a multi-year, multi-platform sponsorship with JetBlue Airways; participation in the annual Street Festival by an entire block of consulates general and tourism boards from around the globe; and program partnerships with university alumni associations and other membership organizations. Prior to her work at the Y, Dana served as a business consultant and sold sponsorships for more than 100 women's websites at womensforum.com, the second largest women's online content network (a for-profit business incubator of sorts). Simultaneously, she maintained a career as a freelance writer and publicist, having served as an in-house editor and publicist in book and magazine publishing environments.
