Presenter Bios

Karen Kedmey
Manager of Media Relations, Rubin Museum of Art, New York, New York

Karen Kedmey began working at the Rubin Museum of Art (RMA) before it opened to the public in 2004. She currently serves as the museum’s manager of media relations, and has participated in the development of RMA’s press, marketing, and advertising strategy which has changed to suit the needs of a quickly growing museum. Prior to RMA, she worked at the Fisher Landau Center for Art, in Long Island City. Before moving to New York, Karen spent two years as an English teacher in Japan as a part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. Karen graduated from Carleton College, in Northfield, MN, with a B.A. in art history.
