Hoong Yee Lee Krakauer, the Executive Director of the Queens Council on the Arts, and Victoria Schneps-Yunis, Publisher of the Queens Courier newspaper, share a passion for all things creative and cultural throughout the borough of Queens. The mission of the Queens Council on the Arts is to foster and develop the arts in Queens County and to support arts organizations and individual artists in presenting their cultural diversity for the benefit of the community. By combining the impressive presence and outreach of the Queens Courier newspaper with the wealth of cultural information provided by the Queens Council on the Arts, these two organizations have created a powerful marketing tool.

In partnership with the Queens Council on the Arts, and in collaboration with the Queens Economic Development Corporation and the Queens Borough President’s Office, the Queens Courier newspaper printed more than 30,000 four-color glossy copies of the Key to Queens, Your Guide to the Borough. This free publication is regularly updated and includes more than 67 cultural and recreational attractions throughout the borough of Queens.
