Leonard Resnicoff
Working with Lincoln Center Consolidated Corporate Fund
|
| Year: |
1998 |
Leonard Resnicoff has been a valuable asset to the Lincoln Center Consolidated Corporate Fund for well over five years. He began volunteering his services two days a week after a severe stroke left him unable to continue his work as a partner in a marketing research firm. After extensive physical therapy and several surgeries to restore partial mobility to his arm and leg, Len decided to capitalize on his expertise and abilities by volunteering a substantial portion of his time. Over the years, Len has filled an important gap on the Corporate Fund’s staff - that of researcher and data manager, performing many of the basic informational activities upon which the success of a development operation is based, but to which it is difficult to assign a regular staff member. On one level, Len has lent his business expertise and has given advice on how best to target industries, where to find information about them and how to interpret that information. On another level, the Corporate Fund has been the beneficiary of his personal research into industries, existing donors and prospects, and the development of specialized lists of global companies. He has compiled, cleaned and annotated prospect lists and has devoted a considerable amount of time to maintaining the accuracy and currency of entire databases. His invaluable efforts include data entry and innumerable telephone follow-up chores. The staff notes that he has been tireless and thorough in all efforts with no assignment too laborious for him to accept in good spirit or to execute well. The Corporate Fund considers him an integral part of its operations and, beyond that, a much revered friend and member of the family.
